What to wear
. All participants (male or female) are required to wear cheerleading briefs/spandex under their shorts.
. Females and males with longer hair are required to have their hair up in a ponytail so their eyes are not covered. Hairspray is recommended to ensure hair does not come out or interfere during stunting or tumbling.
. USC clothing is highly encouraged to show school spirit!

Tryouts
The first day of tryouts is a jump, tumbling, and cheer clinic, in which participants can practice skills, receive spots, and get feedback from coaches. A cheer and Fight Song dance will then be taught - these will be performed at the second day of tryouts for judges. The second day of tryouts contains a stunting clinic in which judges will give scores each participant based on overall performance during the clinic. All participants will stunt at the same time, and coaches will rotate participants between groups to get a better understanding of each person's abilities. Judges and coaches will be scoring participants during this stunting session on their flexibility, technique, and strength. Participants will then tryout individually. Each person must perform:
. A toe-touch, pike jump, and a jump of the participant's choice
. One standing and one running tumbling pass
. The cheer learned from the cheer clinic
. The Fight Song dance learned from the cheer clinic
. Participants will also be asked interview questions about themselves and about the team. This is a very short interview, and will only be about 2 minutes long.

Results
Results from tryouts are emailed the night of tryouts.
