Coach James has been involved with the cheerleading industry since 2001. After joining his high school team during his freshman year, he quickly discovered that this was the sport he was meant to be in. He cheered with Providence High School through his junior year and joined Platinum All Stars for his senior year.
Coach James attended California State University Monterey Bay, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology concentrating on Interdisciplinary Sports Focus. During his college career, James began coaching (and cheering) for Riptide All Stars. He also began doing choreography work with the local middle school, high school, and college programs in the Monterey area. Schools he has coached for included: Colton Middle School, Carmel High School, Monterey High School, Alvarez High School, and Cabrillo College. He also directed the summer cheerleading program for the Monterey Sports Center from 2007 - 2009 before graduating.
After graduating from college in 2010, Coach James began coaching for CheerForce based out of Simi Valley where he currently coaches the Large Youth Level 2 team known as CheerForce Uprising. James took over the USC Competitive Cheerleading Program at the beginning of 2013 and continues to elevate the team. He is excited and inspired everyday by his athletes and is proud to be a Trojan!

- Placed Top 15 at the 2009 Cheerleading Worlds in the International Open Coed Level 5 division with Fusion All Stars
- Won over 12 National Championships as a competitor
- Won over 20 National Championships as a coach
- USASF Certified Coach
