Los Angeles Unified District-Wide Science Fair

In an effort to stimulate interest among middle- and high school students in the hard sciences, the LAUSD collaborated with the California Science Center to host the second annual science fair open to all students in the district. Caitlin Adams reports for USC Annenberg.


	VISTAMAR SCHOOL For those who can afford it, private schools are becoming more popular for many parents looking for quality education for their children. Caitlin Adams takes a look at a new college preparatory academy in the South Bay with a very unique educational philosophy.		VILLARAIGOSA Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa initially had ambitious plans for the L.A. Unified School District, but since proposing his idea to assume primary control over the second-largest school district in the nation, he has received plenty of opposition from the school board, parents and teachers, and now, the courts.
