I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Communication Sciences Institute at University of Southern California (USC). My adviser is Prof. Giuseppe Caire. For my PhD. thesis I worked on system optimization problems and code design for multicasting & multiple description scenarios. These code designs are applied to a new image transmission scheme based on Raptor codes. My expected graduation date is Fall 2011.

Previously, I received my B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Middle East Technical University, and my M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC Riverside.
