Emad Bahrami-Samani
I am a PhD student in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA.
From 2007 until 2009, I compeleted my M.Sc. in Computer Science at University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB, Canada.
I received my B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2007.
Research:
My research aims to develop scientific understanding and improved algorithms in the areas of Computational Biology and Statistical Methods. My current main research projects are related to RNA structural motif discovery, using stochastic grammars and machine learning techniques.
I won the best B.Sc. thesis award in 2007 from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
I also have worked on Machine Learning as the leader of Kasra Robocup team which won the third place in Robocup competitions 2005, Osaka, Japan.
