what is the ATPS?
Associated Trutee & Presidential Scholars

The ATPS, or the Associated Trustee and Presidential Scholars, is the student organization dedicated to serving the academic, intellectual, and social needs of the recipients of Full- and Half-Tuition scholarships at the University of Southern California.

Formed by the fusion of the Associated Trustee Scholars and the Associated Presidential Scholars in 2001, this newly merged group now represents over 1,200 of USC's best and brightest. Hailing from Pennsylvania to Florida to right here in Los Angeles, this dynamic group of individuals has collectively contributed much to USC's rise to prominence over the past decade.

We provide a significant number of social and community service events on and off campus. These events provide networking opportunities between freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and fifth years for extracurricular, co-curricular, and personal endeavors. ATPS extends out to its members' families with the Parent's Weekend Tailgate.

James - enjoying the view atop Arthur's Seat outside Edinburgh, Scotland JAMES ALURISend E-Mail CO-CHAIR Hey, fellow ATPSer! I'm co-responsible for planning community service projects for ATPS, and I love what I do. In my opinion, there's nothing more important for bright minds than to use one's talents to help those in need. I'm a double major in music (classical guitar) and biology (pre-med). When I'm not studying or planning the next great ATPS community service event, I'll be swimming, running, reading (anything from poetry to religious texts to the Economist), playing soccer, guitaring around, or researching one of the thousands of questions burning in my mind (most recently it was, "Why does milk spoil?"). I'm excited to meet you all at ATPS events and around campus!
Jamie JAMIE VOGELSend E-Mail CO-CHAIR Originally from southwest Florida, Jamie chose USC because she wanted to try something completely different. Aside from studying Creative Writing and Neuroscience, she enjoys eating sushi and frozen yogurt, going to the beach, listening to any kind of live music, traveling, and seeing all that Los Angeles has to offer.
Tiffany S. TIFFANY SIASend E-Mail COMMUNITY LIAISON Hello there ATPSers! I'm currently a junior majoring in neuroscience and minoring in medical anthropology. I am born and raised in the Bay Area and love eating new foods, being environmentally friendly, and hugging trees. Just kidding. Not really. I play for USC's Women's Ultimate Frisbee team and am an SI leader. You can also find me at either Yogurtland or 21 Choices because I am in love with frozen yogurt. Once upon a time my friends and I biked all the way to Little Tokyo for some quality fro-yo!
Kyla KYLA SIEDBANDSend E-Mail COMMUNITY LIAISON I love being active outside and enjoying the sunny California weather, which I definitely appreciate after growing up in Minnesota! I am a certified SCUBA instructor and I absolutely love spending time by the ocean. I am also an avid runner and yogi!
Jessica JESSICA LAMSend E-Mail SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR Hey everyone! I am from the rainy city of Portland, Oregon, but have also lived in Canada, Thailand, and Taiwan. I love the outdoors and so if you are ever venture out into the wilderness, let me know and I will gladly join in on the fun! Unfortunately, I have trypophobia (an intense and irrational fear of clusters of dots and holes) and I also feel extremely uncomfortable around frogs. I enjoy staying up late talking to people about their life stories and experiences. Bake me White Chocolate cookies and I will give you the biggest hug ever known to mankind!
Holly HOLLY MORRISSend E-Mail SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR Hey ATPS-ers! I’m excited to serve this organization and meet even more awesome scholars such as yourselves! I love dessert and good conversation. You can find me discussing the meaning of life as well as the many reasons why Yogurtland is better than 21 Choices. Psychology is more of an obsession than my major, so you will probably hear me using attachment theory or analyzing communication styles in everyday conversation. Although I am from Indiana, I hope to live next to the ocean forever. I love the beach, the sun, playing sports, hiking, and running. My semester in Australia has provoked a new love for bush walking, tea parties, and rugby.
