ABOUT ME:

Andrew Thomason is a Masterís student in the Geographic Information Science and Technology program at the University of Southern California. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy and minor in Geography. Currently, Andrew works as an Environmental Data Analyst at Intrinsik Environmental Sciences (US), Inc. in Venice, California. Here, he supports the development of risk assessments and toxicological and human health hazard evaluations. Andrew primarily focuses on data management, database design, statistical analysis and interpretation in order to analyze environmental trends for human health risk assessments. He analyzes sample data joined with site location maps to discover spatial trends when evaluating potential chemical exposure pathways, hot spots, and extents of contamination. Andrew has completed six classes toward his degree and expects to graduate Spring 2015. He is mainly interested in the use of geographic information systems and spatial analysis for environmental epidemiology and human health research.
