Fall 2011{11/18/11} Holiday Social When: Friday, November 18th, at 4:00pm Lets end the semester with a nice night out with ASCA! We will travel to downtown LA where we will treat our members to a nice meal (WHICH MEANS ITS FREE)! Non-members are also welcomed, but we ask for a compensation of $8. Please RSVP as early as possible as carpool spaces are very limited! If you are a driver and are willing to help with carpooling, you WILL be compensated! Please RSVP to asca@usc.edu by November 14, 2011 (Monday) at 5:00pm. {11/10/11} Alumni Night: Life after Annenberg When: Thursday, November 10th, at 6:30pm Whether you are a senior looking for advice on job-hunting, an upperclassman who wants to know what a communication major can help you accomplish, or you simply just want to meet some cool people, then you don't want to miss out on this event. We have invited graduated ASCA e-board members and Annenberg affiliated alumnus to come in to share their experiences and stories with us. We will open up the Q & A to the general audience so bring your questions to get them answered! There will be lots of mingling time and catered food! ASCA and LPE members get in for FREE, non-members is $10. {10/25/11} "What Classes to Take" (UNCENSORED) When: Tuesday, October 25th, at 6:30pm Advisements are coming up and you are wondering what COMM classes is most rewarding or most interesting? This is the event for you! We have invited academinc advisors to come give us a general background of the core COMM classes, then we will jump into a discussion where ONLY students will be present! The FIRST social event of the year was a tremendous success! Thank you all for attending and we hope that you enjoyed the cupcakes and learnt more about ASCA. {04/27/10}The 15th Annual ASCA Awards Banquet The Awards Banquet is always our biggest event of the year. We honor our awards receiver, including the best professors, staff and TAs, for their outstanding contribution to the Annenberg community. We will provide El Cholo food for our members to enjoy. Spring 2009{04/23/09} The 14th Annual ASCA Awards Banquet (Pictures below) When: Thursday, April 23, 6:00 to 7:15 pm {04/08/09} ASCA presents A Night with SBE This ASCA event featured different professionals from the hot Los Angeles based lifestyle company whose branches include restaurant and nightlife development, hotels, real estate, and two independent film production firms. Members from different sectors of the company including marketing, events, and sales will join us to talk about their careers and the company itself. Please bring your resumes because SBE is looking for interns! Dress will be business CASUAL, and we will be serving Panda Express. There will be a $5 suggested donation for nonmembers. Beyond the Spotlight: Sports & the Media" co-sponsored with ALSAWed, Oct 29, 7p – 9pm ASCA and ALSA proudly present ""Beyond the Spotlight: Sports & the Media." Our discussion will be comprised of a group of student athletes that will include Olympic medalist Rebecca Soni and Heisman hopeful Mark Sanchez. The panel will also consist of retired athletes, professors, and professionals from media and sports. Students joined together to discuss Annenberg classes. Sushi was served and everyone had a great time! Family Feud TapingOn Friday, October 10th, ASCA members attended a taping of Family Feud. The day included a rush trip to Arby's, followed by a lot of singing and clapping. It was a great opportunity for group members to socialize. Episodes 88,89 and 90 to air soon!
