History
In 1997, The Department of Biomedical Engineering at USC approached the undergraduate BME student organization, the Associated Students of Biomedical Engineering, and asked ASBME to organize an informal gathering of undergraduate students, faculty and representatives from local biomedical industry. With the purpose of bringing together engineers, executives, recruiters, professors and their pupils, the event was a favorite. When it was repeated the following year to even greater success, a tradition was born.

Though the annual event has changed date and setting form year to year, the 2007 BME Corporate Luncheon serves the same function, fulfills the same need and maintains the same friendly atmosphere of the original.
