The computational aspect of this project
was supervised by Dr. Ian Haworth. I conducted
all of the experiments with assistance
from Alexandra Schiewe, a PhD candidate.
The confocal microscopy aspect of this
project was supervised by Dr. Hamm-Alvarez.
Kaijin Wu, a senior research associate,
and Michelle MacVeigh, a research technician,
conducted the mouse lacrimal gland isolation,
fixation, and preparation of frozen sections.
I processed the frozen sections for immunofluorescence
and acquired the images independently.
Besides the aforementioned individuals,
I would also like to thank the members of
Dr. Hamm-Alvarez's lab for training in the
various biochemical techniques used in my
experiments: Ron Marchelletta, Eun Sou,
Kaijin Wou, Yanru Wang, Francie Yarber,
