Day Away by Anna Ge

This semester, Day Away (Nov 17-18th) was at our favorite alumna Shannon Pearce’s house. This Day Away was made even more special and fun by the presence of six alumnae sisters. The weekend started with the candidates’ presentation of their Checklist objects; it was made more interesting with a few of the active sister’s special requests, such as weirdest piece of clothing, and The Holy Grail. Next, came the traditional events, such as the Sign Game and Mafia. The candidates cooked a delicious meal of salad, enchiladas, and quesadillas for the group. Afterwards, the candidates got ushered out of the house for movies and shopping, only to come back to a disheveled house with string all over the house. However, they were all surprisingly good natured about it and of course, ended the game with awesome presents from their secret carnation sisses. The next day ended with the informative and fun Puzzle Game, where the candidates learned more about the sorority. All in all, it was a very successful Day Away filled with yummy desserts, warm fuzzies, and sisterhood.
