Teaching is one of the most enriching and rewarding jobs there is. To me teaching is priceless. Being able to teach and make an influence in somebody’s life is truly an amazing gift and experience. Sure there are going to be hard days in the teaching profession but at the end of the day you have made an impact in some young person’s life whether it is a discipline lesson or how to do basic addition, you are shaping the future of an individual. I think that unless someone truly enjoys the subject being taught or the success of the students then they should not be incorporated in the world of teaching. Teachers need to have basic qualities such as; patience, understanding, caring, creative, positive, and the ability to keep control of the class.

To me education should not be strictly academic and right out of the book. I think that students learn quicker, and more successfully, when the material is introduced in a creative and relative manor. This is a successful method because the students are interested and are able to know why what they are learning is important in everyday life. Another important issue in the classroom is the line between fun and discipline. A teacher should be both approachable and able to keep control of the class. A strong education base is essential for a child to succeed both in present and later life. I will do my best to make sure all my students are up to the nation’s standards.

Overall, learning should be fun. I have enjoyed all my years of education thus far and remember every teacher I have had for one reason or another. The best teachers are those who go above and beyond the requirements for their students, and I am willing to go above and beyond. I am going to do my best to touch every child’s life in some way and make them appreciate why a strong education is important.
