My name is Ashley Nick and I love life. I have been blessed with one of the best families in the world and they have taught me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. I am the older of two children accompanied by my strong and determined younger brother Devon. Unlike most siblings, my brother and I have always gotten along and I would consider him one of my best friends.

I love children with a passion and this is one of the main reasons why I have wanted to be an elementary school teacher since middle school. What I enjoy about children is their innocence and will to succeed and impress. The teaching profession is a rewarding job, and knowing you have made a positive impact on a child’s life and the future of America is priceless.

I was born and raised in Arcadia, California and presently attend the University of Southern California…Fight On! I am very active and enjoy playing any and every type of sport, but my favorites are soccer and volleyball. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and now play for the Women of Troy at USC, where I am proud to say I was a part of the first National Championship in school history in 2007. Growing up and playing sports has taught me valuable life skills such as team work, cooperation, social skills, and the drive to do my best in all areas of life. Excelling in athletics is not my only hobby but I also enjoy doing art activities and volunteer work. I am a very positive person and try and always find the good in people. One day I would like to live in South Carolina because I think the East coast is beautiful and I enjoy the slower paced, old school lifestyle. I get along with pretty much anyone and enjoy the company of others but am very independent as well. I have had some great experiences with my family and friends thus far and am looking forward to more good times ahead!
