John Ochoa, a senior public relations student, currently serves as co-director for the Annenberg Latino Student Association. A native Angeleno, John hails from Lynwood, Calif., and is of Mexican descent. Playing a key role in the revival of ALSA, John strongly believes that the organization holds many benefits for ALSA members. “The Latino media market is constantly growing by the minute,” said John. “I truly believe that ALSA and organizations that hold similar goals will ensure the future careers of Latinos in the journalism, public relations and communication fields.” Hosting an array of media-focused events, John has brought a variety of influential figures from major media organizations to educate and network with ALSA members. As a graduating senior, John plans to travel across South America and establish his writing career as a rock biographer upon his return.
