Amount Awarded: $1,000 to $5,000 annually
Number of Awards: Varies: The Continuing Student Scholarships are a collection of many scholarships available through the USC College.
Criteria:
-Must be a USC College major.
-Must have completed at least one semester at USC (12 units or more).
-At time of application and during the 2011-2012 academic year, must have full-time status (registered in a minimum of 12 units)
-Have a minimum cumulative USC GPA of 3.0 or 3.2 GPA (depending on scholarship).
-Have extracurricular activities, leadership potential, campus, and community involvement.
** All applicants will submit an application electronically. In addition, each applicant is required to provide hard copies of the following:
- Application form
- Financial Aid Summary from OASIS
- Resume
- Letter of recommendation
- STARS report
- Personal Statement (topic specified under scholarship criteria)
- Supplemental information
An application is considered complete when the all of the above are received.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fund (SURF)
Through SURF, USC College students may receive up to $3,000 to support a summer research project under the supervision of a USC faculty member. For more information please go to www.usc.edu/college/surf
Student Opportunities for Academic Research (SOAR)
The SOAR program provides USC College students up to $1,000 of
support for any non-course related research activity conducted
during the fall or spring semester. You must have a faculty sponsor
for your project.
Requirements: Open to undergraduate USC College majors, including
Undeclared/Undecided majors. Minimum GPA of 3.3
