Membership

Eligibility

A student may become eligible for membership in Alpha Lambda Delta by attaining a 3.5 GPA during either the first semester or the first year at USC while maintaining a full course of study (at least 12 units per semester). Students cannot have marks of "IX," "IN," "F," or "MG," nor can they have a confidentiality request on file.

Qualifying students will automatically receive an invitation and application to join ALD through mail or e-mail, whereupon a student must complete the application and pay the membership fee by the designated deadline. Students may also choose to apply for chapter scholarships or board positions at that time.

Guidelines for Submission

The membership application for Spring 2012 is available here. The deadline for general membership applications is January 30, 2012.

The Executive Board Officer application for Spring 2012 is available here. The deadline for E-Board applications is January 30, 2012.

PLEASE give us your USC email address instead of yahoo or gmail. Also, it is absolutely fine if you do not have a typewriter! Just turn in a typed piece of paper with all the information we asked for and a check or cash as your application if you are unable to type your info and print it out using Microsoft Word or another program. This is because we would like to have your name, email, and all other information stored correctly in our database! We do not want to mess up your name on your membership certificate because we read your handwriting wrong!

Note: Potential inductees must have received a letter invitation in order to join Alpha Lambda Delta.

Note: The $75 induction fee covers lifetime ALD membership. Other items (e.g. t-shirts, cords, etc.) must be purchased separately.
