Academic Events:

Professional Appreciation Luncheon: This is the one event you do not want to miss. Take your favorite professor out for lunch and chat, and the bill is on us. Just make sure you apply soon! Note: more details in regards to this event will be posted shortly. Be sure to keep a look-out for updates in your inboxes and on our Facebook group.

Mixer with Professors: Join us in our mixer with professors. More details about this event will come soon, so be sure to keep a look out for updates!

Social Events:

Spring Awakening: We love to give our students the opportunity to have fun. Each year, ALD will take a group of its students to a play or musical. Past events have included "Spring Awakening" and "Wicked." Why pass up on this great opportunity?

Welcome Back Luncheon: Excited to return to USC? ALD is putting on a welcome back luncheon for returning students. Come and join us!

Involvement Fair: Come out to Trousdale and discover the myriad of organizations on campus! Don't forget to stop by ALD's booth.

General Meetings: Want to learn more about what ALD is and what great events we have planned for you for the upcoming school year? Come to one of our general meetings at the start of the Fall semester! We will keep you updated on the exact date.

Ice Cream Social: Need some time to relax and unwind? Stop by our ice cream social, treat yourself to some ice cream, and meet your fellow ALD members and officers!

Membership Appreciation Days: To show our appreciation for our members, USC ALD will have two member appreciation days. Stop by and grab something to eat and drink. This will also be a time to relax before finals week. More details on this event will be announced soon!

Philanthropic Events:

AIDS Walk: ALD worked together with the Women's Student Assembly to co-sponsor the AIDS Walk. AIDS Walk LA benefits the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), which is dedicated to: improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease; reducing the incidence of HIV infection; and advocating for fair and effective HIV- related public policy.

Toiletry Drive: To help the homeless, USC ALD organized a toiletry drive in December of 2008. ALD members astounded the Los Angeles Mission with three 50-gallon bins with donated items, which volunteers separated into more than 300 colorful lunch bags and included handwritten “Happy Holiday” notes. To learn more about USC ALD's participation in the local community, check out this news article. We will continue the toiletries drive in future years. Be sure to keep updated as we post more details about this!

USC vs. UCLA Blood Challenge: Be a part of the beat UCLA blood drive, an ongoing event from the USC Blood Donor Center that will last throughout the semester! Check out our calendar for a list of times when you can donate your blood to someone in need, and you will also receive a gift in return.

Relay for Life: Fighting cancer is a team effort. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone. The ALD Relay for Life team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society save more lives from cancer.
By joining or donating to our team, you will be a part of a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
