Hello, I'm Albert!
(This is my escape from reality)
2001 Peak of Mammoth
Me on Spring Break 2001 at the peak of Mammoth Mountain

A 30 degree inclined shot of the peak. Notice the snow dust kickup from the wind. Glorious sight! I'm on the right =D

From the picture above you can probably tell that I really enjoy skiing. To me skiing is one of the greatest joys in life. Just close your eyes and and imagine yourself at the top of the mountain, 11,053 feet up. The sun is shining down on you, you raise your head up high and take a deep breath. Feel the cold clean air fill your lungs, hold your breath and look around at the beauty of nature. Now let that breath out, doesn't that feel great?

If you have no idea what I'm talking about then you really should try it out when you get a chance. Sure it'll take some work to learn to ski, but what sport doesn't? The reward of just being up there in the mountains, a wonderful feeling, plus exercise is good for you too! Anyone going skiing? Give me a ring!

Okay some real info about me =D ...

Ethnicity: Chinese
Politics: Taiwanese-Chinese / American Moderate Democrat
Languages: English, Mandarin, Taiwanese, and a dab of French

As you can tell, as this page opens up that I am very passionate and proud of the fact that I am an American, but more importantly that I am a Taiwanese. Yes, when it comes down to it Chinese and Taiwanese are one in the same thing but in terms of political stance I am Taiwanese all the way. If you're really interested about the 'difference' between Taiwanese and Chinese this is a good website to read up on: http://www.taiwandc.org

Even though I'm passionate about being Taiwanese I was born in good old sunny California. I didn't live in California too long though. My father, who is a genius to me, was a graduate student at UCLA when I was born where soon after we moved to Texas. From the start of my life, on average, I have moved once every 4-5 years. I started from California to Texas to New York to Louisiana to New Mexico and now I'm back in California! I have seen a great deal of the American culture, yet compared to Europeans I feel so uncultured. It was a shock to me when I first started college that there are people that have been in California their whole lives. There's nothing wrong with that but when these individuals have minimal knowledge of what happens outside the state borders I really wonder if our educational system is effective or not. I implore all of you, to learn more, the world has so much to offer.

Look at the recent California Fires. For something so destructive doesn't it look really beautiful from space? =) Another reason not judge people 'purely' for their looks! ^_^
