The Basics
The Atheist, Humanist & Freethought Alliance is a group at USC (officially recognized by the Office of Religious Life) for those of us who don't subscribe to a particular religion or spiritual belief. We are dedicated to pursuing rational and empirical approaches to philosophy and understanding, and we seek to provide a strong, collective voice of reason in USC's religious community. And perhaps most importantly, we are creating a place where non-believers can feel comfortable and accepted, enjoying the camaraderie that many faith-based groups enjoy!

Getting Involved
There are lots of ways to get involved with AHFA. We have weekly meetings every Wednesday at the Fishbowl Chapel on campus, at 5pm. Check this site for announcements of events (such as guest lectures, social events, and community service opportunities) and feel free to attend any of them. Also, join our group on facebook, or subscribe to our mailing list. |

A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
