Former Assembly Democratic Leader Richard Katz makes his acceptance speech after receiving the Earl Warren Award for his outstanding contributions to good government in Los Angeles during his 16 years in the state Legislature  Newly inaugurated chapter President Bonnie Hall outlines her goals for the new year and concludes the awards ceremony

Ronald Sanchez looks on. The award was shared with staff from the Long Beach VA Medical Center's Substance Abuse Treatment Program Team.

 Veterans Affairs Counselor Roy Dunn Jr. received the Clarence Dykstra Award for his lifelong work during 30 years with the VA. Mr. Dunn is himself a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
