Outgoing President Randall Bacon presents the first two President's Awards to LAPD Capt. Rick Wahler of the North Hollywood Station for the heroism of the officers and community during the Bank of America shootout. Former South El Monte Mayor Vera Valdiviez was one of the many to pay a moving tribute to the late City Manager Rita Harding, recipient of the Tom Bradley Affirmative Action Award.

Beverlee Bickmore is all smiles as she receives the Will Baughman Award for her outstanding service to the chapter. Standing with her is presenter and master of ceremonies David Mars. ASPA National Vice President and chapter Awards Committee Chair Todd Argow shakes hands with Neil Hardin, husband of the late Rita Hardin, as he presents him with his wife's Bradley Award.
