Philanthropy

At Alpha Delta Pi, philanthropy is always a top priority. All Alpha Delta Pi chapters nationwide are dedicated to supporting the Ronald McDonald House (RMH). RMH is an organization that provides comfort, care, and a "home-away-from-home" for the families of seriously ill children. RMH provides a place for the families of these children to stay and a more comfortable and "homey" environment for the children and their families during the time of their treatment. In addition to donating money, ADPis across the nation take great pride in visiting their local RMH. The women of Alpha Delta Pi love to cook dinner for the families at RMH and especially enjoy spending time with the children there.

Row Cup is Alpha Psi's annual philanthropy event to raise money for the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. Traditionally Row Cup has been a soccer tournament that USC fraternity men compete in. This year, though, we completely reinvented Row Cup and made it into a Human Foosball tournament! Each participating fraternity is one team with a group of ADPis acting as team captains and cheering on their players. Everyone had a blast watching the fraternity men playing human foosball and listening to great music provided by 100.3 THE BEAT. This year's event raised over $5,000 for RMH.

In addition to our Row Cup event benefiting RMH, the women of Alpha Delta Pi also joined together with some of the USC fraternities to aid other philanthropic organizations. We held a Christmas Toy Drive and Toy Wrapping party with the men of Sigma Chi to benefit the Sigma Chi national philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network. ADPi also sponsored a blood drive with the men of Zeta Beta Tau in the spring. For USC's annual Songfest, an event benefiting USC Troy Camp which sends underprivileged urban children to summer camp, ADPi paired up with the men of Kappa Alpha Psi. We had an amazing time getting to know the Kappas while working on our Songfest routine and also hanging out with them when we weren't practicing for Songfest. After hours and hours of practice, Alpha Delta Pi and Kappa Alpha Psi blew the crowd at Songfest away with our routine and walked away with the award for "Best Singing".

ADPi also participates in Interfraternity Council philanthropy events. This past spring we participated in TKE Volleyball, Sigma Chi Derby Days, ZBT Jungle Ball, Sig Ep Dodgeball, AEPi Poker, and the SAE Pigskin Classic. We also won Kappa Sig Rodeo Days! We are looking forward to the fraternity philanthropies coming up in the fall.
