A Message from the President

Dear Friend,

On behalf of Alpha Delta Kappa, an open sorority of the University of Southern California, I cordially invite you to our 2004 Rush, "Individually Unique, Together Complete." I hope that each event will be a unique and memorable experience where you will make lasting friendships.

Founded in 1977, Alpha Delta Kappa is one of the most prestigious sororities in the Asian Greek Council. We are a social and service-oriented sorority, formed from the need for an organization which not only provided social interaction among peers, but also charitable activities that would benefit the community. By balancing these two aspects, we are able to give our members a richer and more rewarding experience. The purpose of Alpha Delta Kappa is to "promote the cause of service to the university and community, through the participation in activities which are social and charitable; to encourage cooperation and friendship among ourselves and with others and to abide by the University's established policies."

Attending a new college or university can be an overwhelming experience. The sisters of Alpha Delta Kappa would like to make that experience a more comfortable and successful transition.

I sincerely encourage you to attend the ADK Rush activities as well as the Rush events sponsored by other sororities. By participating in all the activities, you ill be able to select a sorority that is most suitable for you. During Rush Week, you will have the opportunity to meet and get to know the sisters of Alpha Delta Kappa, and learn what our sorority has to offer you. Rushing, pledging, and membership will be explained to you during Rush Week. Attending our rush activities will not obligate you to anything. Please, come and join in on the fun-we'd love to meet you.

Thank you for giving us the chance to introduce you to Alpha Delta Kappa.

Sincerely,
Ji San You
2005-2006 ADK President

A Message from the Pledge Mom

Hello! My name is Tivagone Lurngvirujanakul and I am this year's Pledge Mom. I would like to personally invite you to ADK Rush 2005"Individually Unique, Together Complete." This is a wonderful opportunity for you to create new friendships as well as a great chance for me to get to know you. As I made the transition from high school to college, I never thought I would have considered joining a sorority. I thought that it would take up too much time and money. After joining and becoming a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, I have learned that joining a sorority is not about time, money, and partying. It is about sisterhood and friends. ADK has given me many everlasting memories and friendships that I thought were never possible. Hopefully I can help give you the same rewarding experience that I have had.

Heading into my second year active, I have been given the honor to be this year's Pledge Mom. I, along with your Big Sis, will help explain and familiarize you with our program and the Asian Greek system. We will also be here to help guide and support you throughout your pledge year. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at my cell (951)488-5354.

Sincerely,
Tivagone Lurngvirujanakul
2005-2006 ADK Pledge Mom
