AS Mentoring Program
The Accounting Society Mentoring Program (ASMP) is a club organization intended to give Accounting Society (AS) members an opportunity to interact with accounting professionals in the work force. ASMP will do its best to pair interested AS members with an accounting professional in their field of choice.

Mentors serve as role models, sources of support and encouragement, “Big Brothers, Big Sisters,” and resources for answering questions about field of accounting and their college life. AS mentees meet with their mentors both one-on-one and/or in small groups to discuss a variety of topics ranging from academics to extracurricular opportunities to career interests. Mentors and mentees of ASMP receive the opportunity to participate in a variety of large group activities, educational workshops, and social events.

Networking • Communication • Leadership Skills • Professionalism

For Mentees
Participating in the AS Mentoring Program will entail a commitment for all students. Mentoring relationships are two-way and you WILL need to contribute and attend all of the events that your mentor and your team plan -- attendance will be tracked! Please be sure to think about WHY you are joining the program before applying.

For Mentors
Mentors are responsible for providing worthwhile experiences for their mentees and need to be able to attend our socials. Mentors can help students develop professional networks, act as links to the business world as well as help students prepare for their roles as successful business professionals. If you are interested in volunteering as a mentor for the current academic year, you may contact the USC Accounting Society Office at (213) 740-4809 or via email at acctsoc@usc.edu.
