About Me

I am a Computer Science Graduate student at the University of Southern California, Class of 2018. I received my Undergraduate degree in Computer Science from CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore in 2014.
I worked as a software engineer at Tech Mahindra, Bangalore for two years from 2014 to 2016. At USC, I did my directed research at USC-Chevron Center of Excellence for Research and Academic Training on Interactive Smart Oilfield under the guidance of Professor Dr. Luciano Nocera. I worked at research instutite CSIR- The Fourth Paradigm Institute(CSIR-4PI) as a 6 months intersnhip under the guidance of Dr.Gopal Krishna Patra.
I enjoy working out, playing badminton and outdoor games. I like talking to people and meeting new people and have good verbal communication skills.
Opportunities I have had helped me enhance myself on a personal and professional level. I thrive in a workplace where I can learn, share new ideas and am looking for such opportunities to continue learning.

I am currently pursuing my masters degree at USC with a GPA of 3.43. USC has helped gain practical experience in all the subjects I have taken so far.

CMR Institute of Technology

B.E. Computer Science August 2014

I graduated with Bachelor of Engineering degree at CMR Institute of Technology(CMRIT) with a percentage of 77.38/100. The course work at CMRIT has helped me gain solid theortical background in computer science. I was also recognised in the Computer Science Department for my final year project, Secure Computation over Cloud Using Fully Homomorphic Encryption. At CMRIT, I was core committee member of computer science department club - Association of Computer Engineers(ACE), organizing committee member of ACE technical fest(2011) and organizer of Code Debugging event at the ACE technical fest. Being a part of this club helped me enhance my leadership and communication skills and get sneak peak of latest technologies at that time along the course of obtaining my bachelor's degree.

Chevron Cisoft Research Lab, USC

Graduate Student Research Assistant September 2017 - December 2017

My role involved data wrangling of streaming oil and gas obtained from SDPF framework(created using .NET technology) which is initially injected with streaming oil and gas raw data obtained from oil and gas sensors located in the oil fields. Assessed the scalability of SDPF framework by analyzing percentage of CPU usage and total memory usage by the framework.Analysis was done using R by plotting scatterplots, histograms and calculated descriptive statictics. Evaluated the functionality of SDPF framework by checking if the framework could successfully detect and clean the erroneous data obtained by injecting raw data obtained from Chevron with various errors- duplicate-mean, missing-fixed, nullvalue-lastgood, signalspike-lastgood, flatline interpolate. For each of these errors, analysis was done using R where reconstruction error was plotted and error detection was calculated using confusion matrix and calculated summary statistics

Tech Mahindra

Software Engineer August 2014- August 2016

This was my first experience in the corporate world and Tech Mahindra helped me adjust very well. For the first 6 months, underwent training on .NET framework 3.0 and T-SQL at ELITE training program at Tech Mahindra. For 1.5 years, I was part of supply chain analytics team of client Applied Materials which converts data to information for the supply chain management to take better decisions related to cost, quality, delivery and opportunity. Developed ETL packages using Microsoft SSIS to clean, transform and transfer large amounts of data pertaining to semiconductor parts from various data sources into tables of SQL Server 2008. Maintained jobs in SQL server for the periodic data loads to keep customers updated about inventory detail. Extensively used MS-Excel to build reports required by client using various features like core formulas, pivot tables and lookup tables. Re-designed home page of ASP.NET application using HTML 5, CSS3 and jQuery.

CSIR-The Fourth Paradigm Institute

Intern January 2014 - June 2014

Devised a new fully homomorphic encryption technique based on Learning With Errors(LWE) to perform computations directly on encrypted data without the need of decryptionLead a team of 4 and got involved in all the phases of software development life cycle. Demonstrated this work using multi-client and concurrent server setup and used images as data. Implemented this work in Java using Eclipse Presented paper on this work at 2nd International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology held at Bangalore on July 22nd, 2016 and is available in IEEE Digital Xplore.
