Race and Class Education is a project that branched out of RaCE discussion session sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Student Services, Center for Black and Culture Affairs, and El Centro Chicano. USC RaCE as an organization serves the USC and surrounding community. Our mission aims at promoting awareness of racial, class and gender issues at our campus and surrounding communities through speaker panels, volunteer service and leadership trainings and workshops.

RaCE as a student organization aims to create student leaders that will be at the forefront of multiracial issues affecting communities at USC and beyond. It is our hope that students who participate in RaCE will be educated in issues affecting different race, class and gender communities, and that they will create change within the USC community and help other students become more aware of the predominance of social problems affecting different racial communities.

If you would like to get involved, email us or subscribe to our weekly email list. We meet every Tuesdays from 5:30pm and on at VKC 153. We are looking for enthusiastic student leaders to organize events and bring in their creative ideas to increase awareness of racial and social problems on campus.

Future projects that RaCE is planning to undertake include greater interaction with the USC Office of Admissions through their Diversity Recruitment Leaders program, increased collaboration with similar students organizations like NAACP at USC, movie screenings and professor panel discussions, multiracial luncheons, student diversity leadership trainings, and much more. We value student input and involvement, so if you have any comments, please do not hesitate to send us an email or fill out the comment form.
