| Dear CSSA Members,
Have you heard of Pasadena New Year Rose Parade?
Staged every year since 1890, The Rose Parade has grown from a local Pasadena institution to a national ceremony
that's very equivalent to the New Year's Eve ball drop in Times Square. On Tuesday 1/1, 2008, at 8:00am the 119th
Rose Parade themed "Passport to the World's Celebrations" promises even more extravaganza than usual.
Especially as a Trojan, there¡¯s no reason that you should miss this great event because USC is having its own Trojan
float as usual!
In addition, limited to this year ONLY, the local Chinese community is going to celebrate 2008 Beijing Olympic Games
with a featured Chinese float!!
This is a great opportunity for every Chinese student in USC to experience a unique and unforgettable Rose Parade.
Proud to be Trojan, proud of China :)))
The parade starts at Ellis Street and Orange Grove Boulevard, then slowly progresses up to Colorado Boulevard.
Unlike any other parade, fans usually prepare to make what ever sacrifices are needed in order to obtain the perfect
location to view the parade, even if that means "sidewalk camping." So, if you plan to have the best seats in the
house this upcoming Rose Parade, then get prepared by joining our New Year Night Party!!
CSSA now plans to extend the celebration to New Year's Eve (12/31) and host an awesome "CSSA New Year Night Party"
before the parade starts. We have many interesting plans such as games, BBQs, lotteries that give away New Year
gifts and even Single Dates!!! We may also provide tents, food, drinks and roundtrip carpool. All details depend on
the number of people coming, so call up all your friends now and RSVP to make it an unforgettable last event of this
year!!!
