Alliance Resource Consulting Leadership Series
Monday, April 17th @ 5:00-6:30 p.m. in RGL 308
For the APRIL LEADERSHIP SERIES, we will introduce a speaker representing the non-profit sector. Please join Alliance Resource Consulting & GPAC by welcoming Guest Speaker Phil MateroHe is the Deputy Director for the Los Angeles Conservation Corps. He will share his insights on the non-profit world and how a background in Education led to employment in the non-profit sector. Seating is limited to 20 students, so please only RSVP if you know that you will be able to attend the event and have an interest in the featured speaker. If you wish to attend please RSVP to GPAC Social Chair Erika Heeb via email at heeb@usc.edu, seats will be granted on a first request basis.
 
GPAC Dinner and a Movie Night
Thursday, April 20th starting @ 5:30 pm
Location: The Bridge Cinema de Lux at the Howard Hughes Promenade, Los Angeles, California 90045 310-568-3375 Hello All! How does dinner and a movie sound? The Bridge is an awesome movie theater and their 12 Lounge has some yummy food and even some great martinis. For $19.95, you will have the choice of any movie(except director's hall) and you will receive a sampler platter and the choice of any entree. Sounds pretty good. Check the Bridge's movie listings at (www.thebridgecinema.com) to see if there is a movie of your choice and then just come on by an hour or two before your movie, we'll be upstairs in the 12 Lounge to meet and greet. GPAC Mock Interviews
The Professional Development Committee recently concluded the first session of mock oral board interviews focusing on the nonprofit sector. Multiple SPPD students took advantage of this outstanding opportunity and you still can do the same!  The second half of the mock interviews for a consultant and a management analyst position will occur on April 20 or 21. Please send your preferences regarding date and times for the position you wish to interview for to Derek Larsen at djlarsen@usc.edu
 
March of Dimes WalkAmerica

Collective Bargaining Workshop

The Professional Development Committee welcomes Mr. John K. Nicoll; Deputy CEO of Ventura County who will facilitate this interactive opportunity in a skill that is essential in the public sector.  Students interested in participating in a collective bargaining workshop to sharpen those negotiation skills, should RSVP via email to Corey Bennett, PDC First Year Delegate, coreyben@usc.edu.  This event includes a dinner and is by RSVP only!

GPAC will host the End-of-the-Year Banquet at the Faculty Center (FAC) celebrating the triumphs of the SPPD community this past year and the rich heritage of Public Administration at USC.
