I am currently a PhD student in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Southern California (USC). I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) and Sharif University of Technology (SUT), Tehran, Iran, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Since August 2012, I have worked toward the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering at USC.

My current research interests broadly lie in machine learning/data mining, statistical learning, and their applications in big data analysis. In particular I am interested in the development of methods for challenging problems in estimation/approximation of structured signals in wireless communications systems. I am delighted to have Prof. Urbashi Mitra as my advisor. As part of my research I have furthermore collaborated with Prof. Erik G. Ström.
